Specialty Machines

Crozier Machine Tool has built many special purpose one of a kind machines for customers over the past 60 plus years. These machines are as simple as a drill machine or as complex as a 5 axis aluminum router.

Our specialty machines have included coil winders for 2000 lbs rolls, door cut out machines, CNC second operation lathes, small mini mills, and many more...

    Specialty Lathes

Our customer had an existing slow speed and under powered machine with Hardinge Brothers Tooling. Our solution was to combine our popular 30DC Speed Lathe with our bed replacement unit. Utilizing the existing tooling, the customer now has a machine with a 1 HP variable speed motor, air-collet closure and dynamic braking. The air-collet closure now allows the machine to be set up for the feeding of "bar" material quickly and efficiently. This solution saved the customer over half the cost of a new replacement with the same features.

In this application our customer was performing a light chamfer operation followed by deburring of the threads on their parts. The customer had existing tooling for a 5C-collet machine and the parts needing work were coming from a 16C-collet machine. Our solution was to build a 16C-collet machine to utilize their existing tooling. The result is a more efficient second operation machine that the customer now uses for all their second operation needs.

    Specialty Routers

This woodworking router was specifically designed and built for a company making children's furniture. The machine design utilizes four routing heads and two drill units. The spindle heads are water-cooled, 10 horsepower high frequency motors running at 18,000 RPM. The table measures 4’ x 8’ and is designed for vacuum hold down.

This 5 axis router has a 5' x 5' table and has full table coverage with the spindle at 90 degrees. This router was specifically designed to engrave the sidewalls of tires for the automotive industry.
